Studio & Gallery Coordinator
Marketing, Communications & Operations
We are seeking a dynamic and multifaceted Studio/Gallery Coordinator to join our team. This role involves a broad range of responsibilities, supporting both the day-to-day operations of an active art studio and gallery and the marketing, promotion, and public-facing presence of the work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in connecting the studio with audiences, supporting sales and visibility, and helping communicate the story behind the work across digital and in-person channels.
Qualities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with the public.

Experience or strong interest in marketing, social media and digital communications.

Comfortable managing websites, social platforms, and basic digital tools.

Organised, with the ability to juggle administration, marketing, operational and creative tasks.

Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and a working knowledge of Word and Excel.

A strong eye for detail and visual presentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing & Communications
-
Support and grow the studio’s audience through thoughtful, consistent communication.

Plan, execute, and monitor advertising campaigns across social media, Google & traditional media.

Craft, schedule, and send a compelling monthly newsletter, helping to shape its content and tone.

Assist with promotional copy for exhibitions, events, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, both in person at the gallery and via online enquiries (website, email, and social media).
2. Digital & Online Presence

Maintain and update the studio website, including artworks, news, and shop content.

Manage social media accounts, including posting, engagement, and basic performance tracking.

Stay informed about digital marketing trends and suggest ideas to improve reach, engagement, and sales.
3. Sales & Customer Engagement
-
Support direct and wholesale sales, including order processing, packaging, and postage.

Liaise with wholesale customers, gallery agents, and licensing contacts, helping maintain strong professional relationships.

Assist with events, encouraging visitor engagement and awareness of the gallery.
4. Production & Studio Support
-
Producing custom prints and photographing artworks for marketing and online use.

Framing, packing, and preparation of artworks for exhibition or sale.

Manage inventory, including tracking stock levels and ordering materials.
5. Research & Development
-
Research opportunities for exhibitions, collaborations, licensing, and funding.

Support the development of marketing ideas around new projects, exhibitions, and collections.
6. Team & Studio Coordination

Assist with overseeing additional staff when required, helping ensure smooth daily operations.

Support training of new staff to ensure consistency in customer experience and studio processes.
7. Accounting & Administration
-
Carry out basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks.

Liaise with the studio’s accountant and assist with maintaining financial records.
