Lobster Cove

100 x 100cm, Oil and Acrylic on Canvas
(108 x 108cm framed)

Inspired by the secluded coves of County Donegal’s Atlantic coast, Lobster Cove reflects the close relationship between the landscape and the traditional working life of the sea.

Created for Kevin Lowery’s Land’s End exhibition, this original coastal painting evokes a remote place shaped by rock, water, weather and generations of fishing. Expressive layers of oil and acrylic convey the atmosphere of Ireland’s rugged northwest coast.
