Muckross Head — Fine Art Print

Muckross Head is a fine art print by Irish artist Kevin Lowery.

“Above mountainous dark land the cloudless sky was luminous with stars; it was a breathless morning, clear and sweet. Then imperceptibly the daylight came and the gold of sunrise flung itself across the heavens, kindled the mountain peaks and overflowed the world.”
Rockwell Kent, Voyaging (1924)

Created as part of Kevin Lowery’s LAND’S END - An Artist’s Journey to Glenlough 100 Years After Rockwell Kent exhibition, Muckross Head is a tribute to Kent’s painting of the same name, inspired by the monumental sea cliffs and untamed Atlantic landscape of County Donegal. The work reflects Kevin’s experience of travelling through and painting a landscape shaped by exposure, isolation and continually changing weather.

The exhibition runs at the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, from October 3 to November 14.

Professionally produced using museum-quality giclée printing using archival inks on fine art paper, each print is individually signed and titled by Kevin Lowery. Available in three sizes, with framed and unframed options.
